About The Position

The Digital Marketing and Creative Coordinator is a key storyteller for the Museum, bringing art and culture to life across digital and print platforms. This role blends creativity and execution, offering the opportunity to expand its audience engagement. This is an on-site position in beautiful Rockland, Maine — offering daily immersion in the Museum’s exhibitions, collections, and creative community. You are a creative storyteller who believes in the power of art and culture to connect communities. You have a strong visual eye and enjoy bringing ideas to life across digital and print platforms. Whether designing a social media post, laying out a brochure, or updating website content, you care about clarity, consistency, and impact. Most of all, you’re curious — about art, about people, and about how thoughtful communication can inspire engagement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience creating engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Graphic design experience, with video and editing a plus
  • Effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience with WordPress, Constant Contact, and InDesign
  • Ability to accomplish tasks with a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong sense of organization, planning, and time management
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience with project management tools like Asana is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute engaging social media across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok to grow audience engagement and brand visibility.
  • Track social engagement metrics and suggest improvements.
  • Support brand consistency across materials, including print collateral, stationery, and donor communications.
  • With the guidance from the Creative Director, execute design for a variety of print collateral materials including ads, posters, artwork labels, forms, business cards, stationery, flyers, posters, and signage.
  • Collaborate on campaign planning and contribute creative ideas to support museum initiatives.
  • Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign), WordPress, Constant Contact, Asana, and social media platforms to execute marketing initiatives.
  • Help shape the Museum’s digital presence by helping to maintain and enhance website content using WordPress.
  • Manage and organize assigned marketing tasks using Asana and tracking projects through to completion and delivery.
  • Maintain the museum’s image files and an archive of marketing materials.
  • Show an interest in and curiosity of the Museum, its mission, collections, programs, and operations.
  • Support and uphold organizational values of diversity, equity, and inclusion in all efforts.
