About The Position

This role is responsible for leading and coordinating conveyor belt service operations across five locations, overseeing both heavy-duty and light-duty conveyor belt installation crews. This role serves as the central point of accountability for safety performance, field execution, crew deployment, tools and equipment, presses and trucks, scheduling efficiency, and service revenue performance. Working closely with Lead Installers, Branch Managers, Sales, and Operations leadership, this position ensures that service crews operate safely, efficiently, and profitably while delivering consistent, high-quality service to customers. The role sets standards, enforces best practices, and drives continuous improvement across all conveyor belt service activities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree preferred
  • Dispatch or deployment of service crews and schedule management
  • Proven leadership experience managing field crews across multiple locations
  • Strong understanding of both heavy-duty and light-duty conveyor belt applications
  • Strong safety leadership and risk management mindset
  • Deep knowledge of conveyor belt installation, splicing, and service operations
  • Ability to lead through influence across multiple locations
  • Strong organizational, scheduling, and prioritization skills
  • Financial acumen related to service labor, utilization, and job profitability
  • Effective communicator with field crews, leadership, and customers
  • Comfortable working in industrial, manufacturing, mining, food, and agricultural environments
  • Ability to travel regularly between branches and customer sites
  • Ability to work in industrial environments, including confined spaces, heights, and outdoor conditions
  • Must be able to stand, walk, climb, and lift as required during field visits
  • Use of required PPE at customer and job sites

Responsibilities

  • Owns and leads all safety initiatives for conveyor belt service operations
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA, MSHA (where applicable), customer site requirements, and company safety policies
  • Conducts job hazard analyses (JHAs), toolbox talks, incident investigations, and corrective action plans
  • Drives a proactive safety culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Coordinates crew scheduling, deployment, and workload balancing across five locations
  • Ensures the right crews, skills, and equipment are assigned to each job
  • Supports emergency breakdown response and critical customer needs
  • Standardizes service execution practices across all locations
  • Maintains oversight of all service-related tools, presses, trucks, and field equipment
  • Establishes standards for equipment selection, maintenance, calibration, and replacement
  • Works with operations and purchasing to manage capital planning and asset utilization
  • Ensures trucks and trailers are properly outfitted, maintained, and job-ready
  • Responsible for service revenue execution in coordination with Sales and Branch leadership
  • Tracks job profitability, labor efficiency, and utilization metrics
  • Identifies opportunities to improve margins through better planning, execution, and crew deployment
  • Supports pricing discipline and scope clarity for service work
  • Ensures Lead Installers and crew members are properly trained and qualified
  • Supports onboarding and skills development for new installers
  • Reinforces best practices for splicing, installation, troubleshooting, and safety
  • Promotes cross-training between heavy and light belt crews where appropriate
  • Acts as the primary liaison between field crews and operations leadership
  • Provides regular reporting on safety metrics, utilization, revenue, and operational performance
  • Identifies gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across locations
  • Helps develop and refine SOPs, checklists, and field standards
