Join our team as the Division Controller supporting a high‑volume, $50M food service operation at Binghamton University. In this critical role, you will partner with operations leadership to drive financial performance, safeguard compliance, and optimize both revenue and cost opportunities across the division.As the Controller of Divisional Operations, you will lead all accounting and control functions, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely financial management of the account. Your expertise will influence decision‑making, operational strategy, and long‑term success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar financial leadership or controllership role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, advanced Excel, strong Access skills, and experience with SAP GL/SAP Payroll.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A collaborative, forward‑thinking mindset with strong organizational skills, creativity, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to thrive under strict deadlines while maintaining a stable, positive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the end‑to‑end finance function for the account, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all reporting.
  • Manage all revenue and expense reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and monthly closing processes.
  • Prepare financial statements in accordance with the corporate closing schedule, Company policies, GAAP, and the Uniform System of Accounts.
  • Provide meaningful financial insights to the General Manager and corporate leadership.
  • Identify and maximize opportunities for revenue growth and cost containment.
  • Review and validate divisional budgets and forecasts to ensure realistic, performance‑driven expectations.
  • Maintain strong systems, controls, and data integrity across all financial processes.
  • Guarantee timely and accurate invoicing, AP/AR management, and tax filings (sales, use, occupancy, and any required external reports).
  • Support efficient computerized data processing and reporting systems.
  • Ensure complete compliance with the management agreement and corporate standards.
