About The Position

The Education Coordinator will provide academic administrative support for IEHP academic programs. The Education Coordinator will assists Program Directors and the Associate Director to ensure smooth operations of academic programs. They will collaborate with administrative staff members to ensure efficiencies are relevant, stable and productive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an administrative field preferred
  • Ability to relate well to a diverse student body, understands the needs of students from underrepresented backgrounds, and appreciate and be committed to diversity in education.
  • Requires demonstrated understanding of the mission of the Institute within the complex academic health center environment; communication of a positive approach to student support and advising.
  • Strong command of computer programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written & verbal communications and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think creatively, juggle multiple priorities, and manage to tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge and experience using student/faculty systems such as Banner.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees program logistics, completes necessary paperwork and support students from beginning to end of their lifecycles
  • Serves as the liaison with the registrar to handle all academic administrative duties such as reserving classrooms, processing student status forms, and course registration
  • Assists Program Directors to meet requirements and standards in order to maintain accreditation.
  • Identify areas of non-compliance and suggests action plans for remediation as appropriate
  • Monitors clinical site progress and reports findings to Program Directors
  • Maintains clinical affiliation contracts in conjunction with respective Program Directors and University Counsel
  • Assists with completion of student and site preceptor evaluations using the evaluation management system
  • Develops and maintains databases and assessing efficiencies to ensure accurate, efficient tracking and reporting of data
  • Creates and maintains enrollment and student status reports as needed
  • Coordinates new student interview process to ensure completion of all onboarding requirements, and effective ongoing communication with Program Directors, Admissions, and other administrators
  • Serves as primary administrative academic support for IEHP programs duties as needed.
  • Updates clinical site databases such as Medatrax and Exxat with real time information
  • Serves as liaison between the clinical sites and program
  • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
