About The Position

Reingold is seeking an Email Marketing Specialist to support the execution, optimization, and management of email marketing campaigns. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, creative marketer with a solid understanding of email marketing best practices who is looking to grow their skills in marketing automation, CRM platforms, and multi-channel campaign execution. Working under the guidance of senior team members, this role will support the execution of high-quality email communications by assisting with template development, campaign launches, audience segmentation, and list management, while helping build and maintain automated journeys such as triggered, transactional, and lifecycle emails within the marketing automation platform. This is a hybrid role, requiring at least two days per week on site at Reingold’s headquarters in Alexandria, VA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1+ years of experience in email marketing or digital marketing (agency experience a plus).
  • Hands-on experience with an email marketing platform (ActiveCampaign strongly preferred; HubSpot, Mailchimp, or similar acceptable).
  • Strong attention to detail and a good eye for design and layout.
  • Basic understanding of email marketing KPIs and performance metrics.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimal familiarity with HTML/CSS for developing email templates (editing or troubleshooting).
  • Experience supporting CRM or marketing automation tools.
  • Experience with email testing tools like Litmus or Email on Acid to ensure cross-client compatibility.
  • Basic understanding of user journey or willing to learn contact pipelines.
  • Comfort creating documentation or training materials.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience with Slack, Monday.com, and/or Zoom

Responsibilities

  • Develop email templates using in-platform drag-and-drop models.
  • Apply email design best practices to ensure templates are visually polished, accessible, and optimized across devices and email clients.
  • Execute and configure both standard and automated marketing campaigns, including setup, testing, and deployment for email marketing and SMS.
  • Manage routine campaign scheduling.
  • Monitor campaign performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, bounce rates) and compile basic performance reports.
  • Develop and execute A/B tests or testing strategies based on behavior insights.
  • Maintain contact database hygiene, including list management, tagging, and basic segmentation.
  • Assist with ongoing process improvements related to email marketing workflows and platform usage.
  • Collaborate closely with digital strategists, project managers and developers to support integrated campaign execution.
