About The Position

The purpose of this role is to become an endpoint support specialist and to develop the skills necessary to manage endpoint devices through their lifecycle, create and manage the documentation of the endpoint team, and to help in developing and managing the approved software titles in use on campus. The role will include PC/laptop preparation, imaging, joining devices to the domain, testing of new technology, deploying and removing end-of-life devices, and other duties assigned by the Endpoint Team Leads. This role and the subsequent skills that will be developed in the student are designed as a precursor for a professional career in an IT profession and the successful candidate will be able to use the time and knowledge gained from this role as a practical demonstration of industry experience post-graduation.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical aptitude and hands on experience in supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining the technical integrity of work station configuration and computer imaging deployment management, peripheral and network device connectivity and utilization, virus intrusion and detection management, a general understanding of Active Directory and LDAP credentials, and both hosted and remote desktop session management and tool utility
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Neat and professional appearance during their scheduled shifts
  • Defined sense of empathy and a genuine customer-focused approach to be of service for our customers
