About The Position

ATSI support services are growing. We are currently seeking a dedicated professional with a proven track record of success to join our team. This full-time position supports the Office of Naval Research (ONR). The Experimentation & Analysis – Technical Analyst will provide technical analysis and experimentation support to ONR Global’s Experimentation and Analysis (E&A) Department. The selected candidate will accept technical tasking and task prioritization direction from the ONR Global Department Head (DH) for Experimentation & Analysis, who will serve as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for this position. The role will support the planning, execution, and analysis of experimentation activities and operational analysis efforts that inform Navy Science and Technology (S&T) investments and technology transition decisions. The ideal candidate will possess experience in science and technology development, experimentation planning, and operational analysis methods, and be capable of supporting technical reporting and collaboration across ONR leadership and the Naval Research Enterprise.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret level security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil, mechanical, materials, or industrial engineering, or a closely related technical field in engineering or physical sciences, with at least ten (10) years of experience in Science and Technology development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of experimentation planning and operations research methods, including Data Collection and Analysis Plans (DCAP), modeling and simulation, wargaming, Technology Innovation Games (TIG), and other analytical methods used to support leadership decision-making for S&T investments.
  • Experience supporting technical experimentation planning, analysis, and execution activities.
  • Ability to prepare technical execution reports and updates on the progress of Science and Technology portfolios, including maintaining and updating collaboration sites as required.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while supporting ONR leadership and program stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in civil, mechanical, materials, or industrial engineering, or a closely related technical field in engineering or physical sciences.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build relationships with program officers, science advisors, warfighters, acquisition sponsors, transition sponsors (OPNAV or TYCOMs), and engineers and scientists across the Naval Research & Development Establishment (NR&DE).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the organizational structure and functions of the Naval Research Enterprise (NRE), including the roles of ONR program officers and science advisors in S&T technology development.
