About The Position

Functions / Duties: Perform work required for maintenance, installation and modernization of electrical systems for buildings, equipment and grounds. Responsibilities: Perform variety of skilled work demanding a high degree of manual and technical competency for the installation of electrical service to industrial equipment Locate and identify electrical malfunctions using test equipment and observing functions. Repair malfunctions using various methods (elements, fuses, defective wiring, cleaning/repairing motors, etc.) Test electrical equipment such as motors, heaters and controls for safety and efficiency Install fixtures, wiring conduits, motors and other electrical equipment Inspect circuits for specified shielding and grounding Complete other duties that may be assigned

Requirements

• Knowledge of the electrical trade.
• Knowledge of controls, security and fire alarm systems.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Supervise other electricians as required.
• Climb ladders; work on roofs and in confined/constricted spaces.
• Use initiative and ingenuity to analyze situations and make technical decisions based on specifications and electrical codes.
• Ability to sustain considerable physical effort at frequent intervals.
• Heavy lifting is required.
• Subject to “call back” in emergencies and scheduled overtime may be required during busy periods.
• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Licensed Master Electrician or a minimum of 10 years of experience as a Licensed Master Electrician working in an industrial or commercial setting
