About The Position

The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Facilities Manager with the maintenance, construction, and repairs of all Old Tucson Entertainment property and equipment. This is a hands-on leader who actively engages in all maintenance activities within the department. A key focus of this position is effective people management, fostering a positive team environment, and developing the skills of maintenance staff, all while personally actively performing day-to-day facility and equipment maintenance responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a facilities and maintenance role.
  • Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certifications within six (6) months of hire.
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and be a self-starter.
  • Ability to prioritize time and responsibilities based on company needs.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the areas of Facilities, Landscape, Attractions Maintenance, and Custodial.
  • Manage, delegate, and prioritize maintenance tasks to the different leads within the department, and follow-up to ensure the tasks are being completed within the assigned timelines.
  • Interface with internal departments and external subcontractors to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of all maintenance tasks and projects.
  • Continually assess and improve maintenance processes for efficiency, driving hands-on initiatives.
  • Under the supervision of the Manager, plan and schedule preventive maintenance tasks, ensuring minimal disruption to operations while maximizing equipment uptime.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and communicate project statuses to management, emphasizing hands-on oversight.
  • Oversee scheduling, timecard review, and timecard approval for the Facilities Department.
  • Help design, implement, and execute the park’s preventative maintenance program for all buildings and equipment.
  • Regularly communicate needs to the manager to ensure repairs are made efficiently and in a timely manner.
  • Regularly inspect and maintain all property buildings, equipment, and appliances to verify proper function, daily operations, and ensure employee and guest safety.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and safety within the department, ensuring all team members feel valued and engaged.
  • Assist in preparing the property for events, productions, and changing weather conditions.
  • Oversee routine inspections and maintenance of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards for all areas of the park.
  • Repair plumbing, electrical, heating/cooling, carpentry, appliances, equipment, painting and drywall, and structural issues as needed.
  • Deliver strong, positive leadership to employees, offering coaching and mentoring while consistently tracking their performance and outcomes.
  • Document repairs at appropriate locations.
  • Assign staff to assist when requested, with special event setup and breakdown, including the use of heavy equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, etc.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment for employees and guests in both public and private-facing areas.
  • Maintain and improve landscaping, fencing, and vegetation.
  • Be flexible and willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed in a family-owned company environment
  • Other duties as assigned.
