About The Position

The Fleet Equipment Coordinator is responsible for operating an efficient and effective fleet through knowledge of equipment, cost controls, achievement of objectives, and maintenance of all relevant equipment records. The Coordinator is responsible for tracking all rental pieces of equipment, implementing procedures to increase utilization efficiency, and coordinating repairs for the equipment owners. Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in equipment management
  • Minimum 3 years of fleet experience
  • Intermediate experience with accounting database systems
  • Valid driver's license required
  • Proficient with computer systems as they relate to utilization of scheduling of manpower/resources, implementation of preventative maintenance programs, inventory management systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications
  • Thorough knowledge of cost tracking
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong commitment to safety
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree in Equipment Service Management, Automotive Management or similar field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degree

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement in conjunction with team, systems for scheduling resources, providing preventative maintenance, inventory control and vendor evaluations, as well as operational procedures
  • Secure and analyze vendor quotes and estimates for services, tools, parts, and supplies
  • Develop and maintain vendor list and continuously monitor overall quality of service provided
  • Coordinate equipment transfers between project sites
  • Maintain an organized list of assigned equipment
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as needed
  • Keep current on new technologies as they relate to management of equipment and apply accordingly
  • Assist with buy/sell/lease options and alternatives
  • Schedule preventative maintenance for designated equipment
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures
  • Document work performed by utilizing system software programs
  • Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are complied with at all times
  • Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations
  • Coordinate with safety department to ensure a safe work environment is maintained
  • Other duties as assigned
