General Ledger Analyst Labcorp is seeking a hybrid General Ledger Analyst to join our Integrated Accounting Services to team, located at one of the following 3 locations: 671 South Meridian Road, Greenfield, IN 10 Moore Drive Durham, NC 531 South Spring Street, Burlington, NC Responsibilities: Perform accounting activities in the areas of general ledger and financial reporting across multiple business units. Perform expense analysis, audit support, and related accounting functions within the Integrated Accounting Services team. Execute regular general ledger activities including preparation and posting of journal entries. Review expenses for accuracy and appropriateness. Prepare accruals and allocations. Complete month‑end close activities as assigned. Prepare monthly financial reports. Prepare quarterly SEC schedules. Prepare account reconciliations and assist with the regular review of reconciliations. Prepare other financial schedules or analyses as assigned. Analyze actual performance data and assist with interpretation of variances from historical trends. Assist with resolution of outstanding reconciliation items. Assist in the preparation of annual tax schedules as required by Corporate. Assist with SOX testing as assigned. Coordinate fixed asset physical inventories with business units. Build strong working relationships with business unit accounting teams. Collaborate with business unit and corporate controllership teams. Ensure appropriate communication with stakeholders when accounting or reporting questions arise. Assist in preparation of meetings with stakeholders on key accounting and reporting topics. Ensure general accounting policies, processes, and operating procedures are clearly defined, documented, and kept up to date. Ensure accounting process designs align with best practices and corporate policies. Initiate and support process improvement initiatives, with a focus on automation and system capabilities. Create tools, processes, reports, and metrics to drive and monitor improvements. Resolve general accounting issues or escalate as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent Two or more years of relevant accounting experience Prior experience working with an ERP system Working knowledge of US GAAP principles Internal control environment experience Preferred Qualifications Advanced accounting degree CPA or other relevant professional accounting certification Experience with PeopleSoft Experience working in a global or multinational environment Additional Job Standards: Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Experience analyzing and working with large volumes of data. Demonstrated proactive approach with strong problem‑solving skills. Ability to plan, multitask, and prioritize workload effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact professionally with internal and external stakeholders to meet needs in an effective and timely manner.
