About The Position

Amazon's XBE Team is seeking a Global Logistics Specialist to support the resolution of daily freight movement issues across our North American fulfillment network. This role combines technical problem-solving with logistics coordination, requiring strong data analysis skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders to drive operational excellence. You'll work with transportation data systems, create automated reports, and collaborate with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a technical background who wants to apply their skills to real-world supply chain challenges. You'll start your day reviewing automated alerts for transportation disruptions, then dive into SQL queries to investigate root causes. You'll coordinate with carriers and fulfillment centers via email and chat to resolve issues, update tracking systems, and document your findings. Afternoons often involve analyzing weekly trends, updating dashboards, and collaborating with software support teams on system improvements. You'll balance independent technical work with cross-functional communication. The XBE (Cross-Border Export) Team ensures seamless movement of inventory across Amazon's global fulfillment network. Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Experience performing data analysis and troubleshooting data integrity issues
  • Can show ablitiy to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related technical field; OR 1+ years of experience in technical operations, logistics coordination, or data analysis roles
  • Experience with SQL for querying relational databases
  • Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate findings to non-technical audiences

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, or similar) for data processing or automation
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems or logistics operations
  • Experience with data visualization tools (QuickSight, Tableau, or similar)
  • Knowledge of SQL optimization and database performance concepts
  • Experience working with APIs or web services for data integration
  • Background in supply chain, freight forwarding, or customs operations
  • Experience creating and maintaining automated reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily monitoring of transportation data systems and generate reports on freight movement status
  • Investigate and resolve logistics disruptions by querying databases and coordinating with Global Logistics stakeholders
  • Maintain automated reporting tools using Excel, SQL, and basic scripting languages
  • Analyze datasets to identify operational trends and anomalies that impact delivery performance
  • Document troubleshooting steps and create knowledge base articles for common issues
  • Provide technical support to team members on data analysis tools and reporting systems
