Purpose of Role The Global Payments Intern supports the planning and execution of corporate events while contributing to key communications initiatives across the firm. The role assists with logistics, content development, research, and program management to ensure consistent messaging and effective stakeholder engagement. By collaborating with cross‑functional teams and providing operational and administrative support, the intern helps strengthen the firm’s communication strategy and overall event delivery.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in business administration, business analytics, business analytics, computer science, economics, finance, information systems / technology data science, risk management, or software engineering is preferred but accounting, cybersecurity, mathematics, political science, and supply chain management are accepted.
  • Genuine interest in one or more of the program’s departmental tracks.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship, including, but not limited to, F-1, J-1, and M-1 visa holders, as well as individuals on CPT or OPT.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Front Office function by assisting with a variety of operational tasks.
  • Conduct outreach to potential clients and facilitate onboarding for clients, correspondent banks, and vendors.
  • Coordinate documentation and ensure smooth onboarding processes in alignment with internal standards.
  • Assist in the technical implementation of new payments platforms, including testing and integration activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot issues and contribute to successful platform deployment.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.
