About The Position

The Golf Retail Clerk in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external customer. The Golf Retail Clerk reports to the Golf Operations Manager and is responsible for assisting guests with merchandise, questions and comments. Also responsible for ensuring shop is clean and keeping displays fresh with new merchandise and in an orderly condition. The Golf Retail Clerk: Provides superior customer service, positively effects interactions with customers and employees, and has the resiliency to deal with difficult customers in all types of business conditions and the ability to work harmoniously with coworkers. Responsible for the sale of general items for the golf shop and operations; assists guests with merchandise, questions and comments. Ensures merchandise is kept stocked; prepares requests for purchases for approval by supervisor. Makes recommendations for new merchandise. Ensures that the golf shop is maintained in a clean condition and all displays are kept fresh with new or additional merchandise.

Requirements

  • Must be familiar with the game of golf.
  • Must have excellent customer relations skills and be committed to providing a high level of customer service to each and every guest.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to perform basic bookkeeping tasks.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • This position requires graduation from high school, knowledge of the game of golf with a minimum of one year working in retail sales.
