About The Position

Join our compassionate and dedicated Recovery Services team as a Group Facilitator, where you will play a critical role in assisting clients on their journey to healing. As a Group Facilitator, you will provide educational presentations, supervise client participation in groups, and evaluate progress to ensure a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes healing and learning. Your efforts will contribute to a collaborative team focused on enhancing the overall wellbeing of our clients.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, counseling, psychology, psychiatric nursing, or a closely related field; OR
  • High School or General Equivalency Diploma and two (2) years of responsible employment history.
  • Employees in this position may be required to apply for Missouri Associate Alcohol Drug Counselor (MAADC) credential.
  • Successful completion of a background check, including criminal record, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint check.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment.
  • Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Employees are required to maintain the certifications and/or licenses possessed when hired and those gained while employed.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present educational materials to clients in an engaging manner.
  • Create a safe, supportive, and culturally sensitive environment for learning and discussion.
  • Document client attendance, participation, synopsis, and summaries for each group facilitated.
  • Communicate client feedback to team members for continuous improvement.
  • Observe and maintain standards in accordance with agency policy and procedures.
  • Report any situations indicating a potential threat to clients' or staff's wellbeing immediately.
  • Attend regularly and consistently as a key job function.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
