The Head Coach of Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track and Field is a key member of the coaching team, who provides leadership and vision within the Athletics Department, as well as among the student athletes. The position is responsible for administering all aspects of the men’s and women’s cross country and track and field programs with a commitment to the University, Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC), and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The position will be responsible for all aspects of the program(s), such as recruiting, scheduling meets, fundraising, strength & conditioning, developing annual service/engagement projects for student-athletes, planning and preparation for meets and practices, mentoring and evaluating student-athletes, and academic monitoring. The position is required to abide by the rules and regulations established by Texas A&M University-San Antonio (A&M-San Antonio), the RRAC, and the NAIA. In addition, this person must be committed to the education mission of the University. Currently enrolling over 8,000 students, A&M-San Antonio is one of the fastest-growing universities in the state. A&M-San Antonio is set to open a $7 million multisport/track and field facility on campus.
