This is a full-time, entry-level position with paid training provided. You’ll be trained to become a skilled operator, and as your abilities grow, there are opportunities for salary increases. We’re looking for someone who can work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. In this role, you’ll use sewing machines, grommet punches, and hot-air rotary welders (no welding experience required). You’ll be part of a small, tight-knit department and will regularly collaborate with other teams across the company. Click Here to View Testimony From Our Team! The Process In this role, you’ll build the outer shells of our inflatable boats as well as sub-assembly components that fit inside or alongside them. You’ll follow detailed work instructions and technical drawings while working with industrial-strength fabrics cut into precise shapes. Using our hot-air rotary welding equipment, you’ll guide layered fabric forward (similar to sewing) while a bead of molten polyurethane forms between the layers. Compression wheels then fuse the materials together, creating a thermo-welded seam. Unlike glued seams, thermo-welded seams fuse overlapping layers into a single solid piece, resulting in a significantly stronger, longer-lasting bond that will not fail over time.
