About The Position

Jennmar Corporate seeking to fill a full-time HR/Payroll Specialist position to supports its Pittsburgh office. This employee will oversee and perform diversified human resource and payroll services. This role is responsible for processing and managing payroll across multiple U.S. states, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role supports HR functions including employee records, benefits coordination, and tax compliance, while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and timeliness in payroll operations.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED Required, college degree preferred
  • Minimum Two (3) Years Related Experience Preferred, or Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience in Manufacturing Environment
  • Experience with payroll systems ADP a plus
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. payroll laws and multistate tax regulations
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Personable, outgoing communication skills to converse with diverse groups of people
  • Working knowledge of general office administrative and office procedures
  • Professional knowledge of Microsoft Office required (mostly Excel)
  • Dependability to be consistent at work and on time
  • Good organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize competing work demands
  • Ability to multi-task and complete several projects simultaneously
  • Possess team mentality with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple states on a biweekly schedule
  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, commissions, and deductions
  • Validate payroll data including hours worked, leave balances, and adjustments
  • Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies
  • Manage state-specific tax withholdings, unemployment insurance, and reciprocity rules
  • Stay current with changes in payroll laws across multiple jurisdictions
  • Maintain employee payroll records in HRIS/payroll systems
  • Assist with onboarding/offboarding payroll setup (tax forms, direct deposit, etc.)
  • Support benefits deductions, garnishments, and leave administration
  • Knowledge & experience in multi tax accounts creation
  • Coordinate audits and respond to tax notices or agency inquiries
  • Facilitate HR issues and employee questions and paperwork with corporate HR team
  • Set up/maintains employee files; assigns and enters hourly employee number in time clock system
  • Assist with recruiting
  • Other duties as directed by management
