About The Position

The HR Generalist serves as the primary point of contact for various human resources areas for assigned client groups at the professional or managerial level. This role supports and provides guidance in recruiting, employment, employee relations, training and development, compensation, benefits, and other special projects. The HR Generalist advises on HR operational issues, assists with initiatives to meet business and HR functional needs, and ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related business field with 2 years of experience, OR Associate's degree with 4 years of experience, OR High School Diploma with 6 years of related experience.
  • Working knowledge of an HR system (e.g., SAP, Kronos, ADP, preferably SAP).
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Employee Relations or HR investigations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact to address employee concerns and investigate and respond to employee relations issues.
  • Conduct stay and exit interviews, analyze data, and make recommendations for corrective action and continuous improvement.
  • Interpret relevant laws and policies, advising management and employees accordingly.
  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance departmental efficiency and services.
  • Participate in developing departmental goals, objectives, and systems.
  • Ensure all interactions are carried out with the highest ethical and professional standards, maintaining quality in accordance with company values.
  • Implement and maintain processes for efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective recruitment.
  • Facilitate new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
