About The Position

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our HR team. This position will support a wide range of HR functions, including employee relations, recruiting, benefits administration, compliance, and employee engagement. The HR Generalist will serve as a resource to employees and managers while helping to support a positive, compliant, and people-focused work environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business or HR-related degree preferred).
  • 3+ years of human resources experience required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive employee relations matters.
  • Familiarity with an HRIS platform is required (Paycom is a plus).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a retail or similar industry is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a multi-state environment with a high volume of hourly employees is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with social media (LinkedIn) and employer branding is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support for employee relations issues by assisting with documentation, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
  • Partner with managers on performance and attendance matters, escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Support the administration of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence (LOA) and Workers’ Compensation processes.
  • Coordinate and participate in full-cycle recruiting efforts including posting jobs, screening candidates, scheduling interviews, and preparing offer letters.
  • Support onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Help maintain and update content on the company’s LinkedIn page in partnership with the marketing team.
  • Assist with benefits administration and employee wellness initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws.
  • Help coordinate training, performance review processes, and employee engagement activities.
  • Generate and maintain HR data, files, and reports.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.
