About The Position

The HR Intern will support Human Resources Operations by assisting with recruiting activities, HR data and reporting, and process improvement initiatives. This role is designed to provide meaningful, hands‑on experience in how HR Operations supports workforce planning, hiring, and employee lifecycle processes within a manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with the HR Operations team to analyze data, support recruiting workflows, and contribute to initiatives that improve efficiency and employee experience.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, analytics, supply chain, Operations, or a related field; students entering their Junior or Senior preferred.
  • Strong interest in Human Resources operations, talent acquisition, and data‑informed decision making.
  • Comfortable working with data and technology, including Excel and HR systems; ability to learn new tools quickly
  • Ability to independently organize work, manage deadlines, and follow processes with attention to detail.
  • Analytical and curious mindset with the ability to identify patterns, trends, and improvement opportunities.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
  • Collaborative and dependable team members with a willingness to ask questions and learn.
  • Ability to travel safely to all areas of the office and plant as needed, with or without accommodation
  • Perform work using a computer for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

  • Support hourly recruiting operations by assisting with requisition creation, candidate screening, interview coordination, and facilitation of pre‑employment screening activities.
  • Maintain accurate and timely data within the applicant tracking system (ATS) and observe the hiring manager intake and selection process.
  • Provide recruiting support for hourly roles, including conducting phone screens using defined criteria and supporting hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating compensation market analysis files and other HR Operations data sources.
  • Compile HR and recruit ting data, create basic charts and graphs, and assist in identifying trends to support reporting and presentations.
  • Support HR Operations projects and initiatives, such as Open Enrollment preparation, recruitment process improvements, and event coordination.
  • Assist with responding to routine employee questions and directing inquiries to appropriate HR resources.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the HR Operations team, including onboarding preparation, document updates, and report preparation.
