About The Position
City of Doraville is looking for a Human Resources Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for human resources and the desire to learn about the ins and outs of the HR function. This position will be a great opportunity to gain experience in the field of human resources.
Requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
- Currently enrolled in a degree program or recent graduate of Human Resources or related field (transcripts will need to be provided).
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Must be at least 18 years old
Responsibilities
- Assist with recruiting and hiring of new employees
- Assist with onboarding and training of new hires
- Assist with personnel file management
- Assist with employee relations and terminations
- Assist with compliance with local, state, and federal laws for record retention
- Assist with HR-related paperwork and other administrative tasks as needed
- Other duties as assigned by management
