About The Position

Join the Discovery family, where quality and service are at the heart of everything we do! This role will be located in Discovery Land Company’s Hamptons locations: Dune Deck Beach Club, set in Westhampton Beach, New York and The Hills in East Quogue, New York. Dune Deck Beach Club and The Hills are seeking a seasonal Human Resources Intern to join the Human Resources Department. This position is available from April to September 2026. The Human Resources Coordinator will help by facilitating efficient HR operations by managing employee records, coordinating recruitment processes, and providing administrative support. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience with MS Office suite.
  • Flexibility and ability to pivot to new projects and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with employee onboarding, new hire coordination, and off-boarding.
  • Maintain HRIS, employee files, and internal company tools with accurate employee information.
  • Respond in a timely manner to employee questions and requests related to HR functions including on-boarding, benefits, employment, and payroll.
  • Support various HR and recruiting projects as needed, including but not limited to updating the applicant tracking system with candidate status.
  • Assist with other HR projects as needed and requested by HR Manager, GM, or Project President.
