About The Position

Degreed is seeking an experienced Implementation Consultant to lead enterprise and strategic customer implementations across the NAMER region and western Europe. This role is responsible for guiding customers from post-sale through launch, ensuring a seamless, high-quality deployment of Degreed solutions including Degreed Learning, Skills+, Maestro, Academies, and AI-powered platform experiences. The Implementation Consultant serves as a trusted advisor, solution architect, and project leader partnering closely with customer stakeholders to translate business and learning objectives into scalable, impactful platform configurations. This role collaborates cross-functionally with the Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to deliver successful outcomes and long-term value. This position requires strong consultative skills, project leadership experience, learning technology expertise, and the ability to manage complex, multi-workstream enterprise implementations, including AI-enabled capabilities.

Requirements

  • Strategic, client-facing consultant who thrives in complex, enterprise environments — comfortable leading executive conversations while managing detailed project execution
  • Skilled at translating business goals into technical and functional platform solutions across multi-workstream engagements
  • 5+ years of experience leading enterprise SaaS implementations or consulting engagements, with 3+ years working directly with enterprise clients in a Professional Services or Implementation capacity
  • Strong understanding of learning ecosystems (LMS, LXP, content providers, skills platforms, HRIS) and a genuine passion for learning transformation, skills development, and innovation
  • Curious and forward-thinking about AI, with the ability to translate AI capabilities into practical, business-aligned use cases
  • Experienced implementing AI-enabled SaaS features, including defining use cases, measurable success criteria, and applying effective prompting techniques
  • Confident facilitating conversations around AI adoption, governance, and responsible implementation within enterprise environments
  • Solid experience with SaaS configuration, integrations, SSO, and data workflows
  • Highly organized and proactive, with strong risk management instincts and demonstrated ability to manage scope and stakeholder expectations
  • Adaptable and resourceful in fast-paced, evolving SaaS environments
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, and executive communication skills
  • Strong project management capabilities — PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end SaaS implementations from kickoff through go-live for mid-market, enterprise, and strategic customers
  • Partner with client stakeholders to define implementation roadmaps aligned to business objectives, learning strategy, and success metrics
  • Design scalable platform configurations across Degreed components — skills frameworks, pathways, content strategy, governance models, integrations, and AI-enabled experiences
  • Facilitate discovery workshops to define AI use cases, value hypotheses, and measurable outcomes; guide clients on effective AI configuration best practices to drive high-quality outputs and meaningful learner experiences
  • Partner with customers to define guardrails, governance, and change management approaches for responsible AI adoption
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and risk mitigation strategies — including scope, dependencies, and change requests throughout the implementation lifecycle
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Implementation, Technical Consultants, Client Success, Product, and Engineering teams
  • Provide strategic guidance on learning transformation, change management, adoption planning, and stakeholder engagement
  • Support integration planning including SSO, HRIS feeds, content integrations, API workflows, and AI data dependencies
  • Lead client enablement sessions and administrator training, including AI feature configuration and practical use case execution
  • Monitor implementation health, track success metrics, and ensure launch readiness
  • Identify opportunities for expanded services and platform adoption in partnership with the Revenue team
  • Conduct project retrospectives, document lessons learned, and contribute to internal asset development based on implementation findings
