About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Training Administrator to lead the transformation of our technical training program into a best-in-class, industry-leading system . This role is critical to ensuring our technicians, inspectors, and service leaders are trained to the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence in the overhead crane and hoist industry. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience developing and managing training programs in a skilled trades, industrial service, or heavy equipment environment—either through prior industry training leadership or administration of a formal trade apprenticeship program. Candidate must be open to 10-15% travel annually Salary: $90K-100K

Requirements

  • Proven experience administering or developing technical training programs in one or more of the following: Overhead crane, hoist, or material handling service Industrial service, construction, manufacturing, or heavy equipment trades Formal trade apprenticeship programs (administrator or program lead)
  • Strong understanding of skilled trades training models and adult learning principles
  • Experience building structured curricula, training pathways, and competency assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to elevate an existing program to a high-performing, scalable standard
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Familiarity with OSHA regulations, ANSI/ASME standards, or equivalent safety frameworks
  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS) or digital training platforms
  • Instructional design or training certification (CPTD, ATD, NCCER, or similar)

  • Direct experience in the overhead crane and hoist industry
  • Background as a technician, inspector, or field service professional

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and modernize our existing training program to align with best-in-class industry standards
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve structured training pathways for employees
  • Develop curriculum that blends classroom instruction, hands-on technical training, and field-based learning
  • Ensure training content aligns with applicable codes, standards, safety regulations, and company procedures
  • Partner with operations, safety, and service leadership to identify skill gaps and training needs
  • Establish metrics to measure training effectiveness, technician competency, and program ROI
  • Maintain training documentation, records, and compliance requirements
  • Support instructor development, train-the-trainer programs, and subject matter experts
  • Stay current with industry trends, technology, and regulatory changes impacting overhead crane service
