About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented General Business Intern to join our team and gain hands-on experience across multiple business functions. In this role, you will support various departments by assisting with data analysis, preparing reports and presentations, conducting market research, coordinating meetings and projects, and contributing to process improvement initiatives. This role is based in our New York City office, full-time.

Requirements

  • In 3rd or 4th year of college graduate program
  • Prior industry experience is preferred
  • MS Office -intermediate skill level, highly proficient in Excel
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships
  • Have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction

Nice To Haves

  • Must have completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles.
  • Must have a very high sense of rigor to prevent any form of mistake that may occur in the process of documenting financial information.
  • Must be a team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on a new challenge.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting preliminary research on market trends, competitor product offerings, and industry developments to support product positioning and strategy discussions with the Distribution Strategy & Research team
  • Compiling competitive intelligence reports by researching peer firms, industry trends, and marketing best practices to support campaign development and positioning strategies with the Marketing & Product Strategy teams
  • Tracking project status updates, timelines, and deliverable logs to support firm initiatives with the Project Management team
  • Organizing, formatting, and version-controlling internal policy documents to ensure accuracy and accessibility for firm-wide use with the Policy & Procedures team
  • Managing document tracking, filing, and basic administrative coordination for contract review processes and legal matter organization with the Legal Operations team
  • Preparing client-facing materials, including gathering data for quarterly reports, formatting presentations, and coordinating responses to routine inquiries with the Client Service team
  • Track status and deliverables for strategic initiatives as directed.
  • Performing data entry, trade blotter reconciliation, and portfolio reporting tasks to support daily investment operations with the Operations teams
  • Shadowing investment management teams, supporting the investment process and performing basic analysis as directed.
