About The Position

Requirements

  • Canva expertise (required): advanced working knowledge of Canva for social design, templates, brand kits, collaboration, exports for multiple formats, and rapid iteration.
  • Short-form video production (required): confident using CapCut and/or Canva video tools for editing, captioning, transitions, pacing, and format optimization (9:16, 1:1, 16:9).
  • Emerging social fluency (required): intimately familiar with new and evolving platforms, trends, and best practices; understands what performs on each channel and why.
  • AI tool proficiency (required): well-rounded, advanced working knowledge of tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, ElevenLabs (and comparable tools) to function as a force multiplier for ideation, scripting, repurposing, summaries, caption/SEO drafting, and workflow automation—while maintaining human judgment and brand standards.
  • Copy + creative instincts: strong sense of hooks, storytelling, and “scroll-stopping” creative; able to write clear, on-brand captions with a consistent voice.
  • Content judgment: understands basic brand consistency, quality control, and accuracy; can follow guidelines and flag anything that needs review.
  • Organization + speed: able to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and handle quick-turn requests with attention to detail.
  • Analytics literacy: can interpret basic social performance data and translate it into practical next-step improvements.
  • Collaboration: communicates clearly, accepts feedback well, and can work across teammates and stakeholders.
  • Candidate must have completed their junior year in a college and be enrolled as a student currently, or recently graduated with a degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Business or a related field.
  • A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required.
  • Position requires individuals to furnish their own vehicle to fulfill the job’s functions.
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • The employee will be regularly required to sit; stand; walk; reach using feet, legs, back, arms and hands; talk and hear.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to climb.
  • The employee will be required to work at a personal computer and talk on the phone for extended periods of time.
  • Must possess the ability to detect auditory and/or visual alarms and be available to work extended/flexible hours and weekends, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Adobe: Adobe Creative Suite familiarity is helpful but not central; Adobe Premiere is a plus (not required).
  • Bonus skills: basic photography/videography, lighting/audio basics, and experience repurposing long-form content into short-form clips.

Responsibilities

  • Create and publish high-quality social content across established and emerging platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok, YouTube/Shorts, LinkedIn, and new channel opportunities as they emerge), aligned to brand voice and campaign goals.
  • Produce short-form video content end-to-end: concept → script/shot list → capture (when needed) → edit → captions → publish (primary tools: CapCut and Canva).
  • Design on-brand social graphics, simple animations, and quick-turn marketing assets with advanced Canva fluency (templates, brand kits, resizing, collaboration, versioning).
  • Maintain and execute content calendars; draft post copy, hooks, captions, and hashtags/keywords based on channel best practices and audience intent.
  • Support content capture at events and on-site moments (photo/video), including quick edits for same-day/next-day posting.
  • Monitor performance and report learnings: track basic KPIs (reach, engagement, completion rate, CTR), summarize what’s working, and recommend optimizations.
  • Stay “platform-native”: keep current on trends, creative formats, creator styles, algorithm shifts, and emerging channels; proactively bring ideas and test concepts.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to support campaigns and day-to-day priorities (creative requests, asset organization, file naming, and content handoff).
  • Use AI tools responsibly to accelerate ideation, writing, editing, and production—while ensuring quality, accuracy, and brand consistency.
