IT Asset Manager & Service Technician
About The Position
Augment Professional Services (APS) is seeking an IT Asset Manager & Service Technician to oversee IT equipment management, user support, and technical infrastructure support for a growing organization operating in a manufacturing and laboratory environment. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate IT asset inventories, provisioning equipment, supporting end users, and ensuring reliable operation of business systems and network infrastructure. The technician will provide hands-on support for desktops, laptops, printers, networking equipment, and laboratory-related IT systems. The role requires a strong mix of technical troubleshooting skills, asset management discipline, and customer-focused service delivery to support both office and laboratory operations.
Requirements
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in IT support or systems administration roles
- Experience managing IT asset inventory and lifecycle management
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365
- Experience troubleshooting desktop hardware, networking, and peripherals
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting manufacturing or laboratory environments
- Familiarity with network infrastructure and basic cybersecurity practices
- Experience with endpoint management tools and device provisioning
- Experience with cloud services and backup solutions
- IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft certifications
