The Business Analyst will focus on capturing and understanding the business requirements at a user story level. This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE with a hybrid 50% in the office work environment. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.)
- Insurance coverages and rating schemes and insurance products
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of property casualty rating and policy coverages and endorsements
- Experience with business analysis or project management
- Experience working in application lifecycle management tools such as DevOps, JIRA, or Rally
- SQL knowledge
- Excellent oral and written communication with all levels of the organization and individuals outside of the organization, including vendors
Responsibilities
- Participate and collaborate on an Agile development team
- Understand the overall business flow by working with Product Owners, subject matter experts (SMEs) and business teams on a regular basis
- Define improvements to business processes and products
- Assist decision-makers in gathering information in order to make informed decisions
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Quality Assurance (QA) to identify and write the detailed requirements of test cases creating and maintaining business and product artifacts
