About The Position

The Infrastructure and Security Engineer will manage and support the IT infrastructure of True Homes, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. This role includes maintaining servers, networks, and related systems with a focus on implementing and maintaining security measures. The Infrastructure and Security Engineer will assist with developing an infrastructure and security plan that will continue to accommodate the organizations future needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years in IT infrastructure roles with a focus on security.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with network management, Windows domain administration including Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, virtualization (Hyper-V), and cloud services (Azure /AWS).
  • Experience in cloud operations sufficient to support hybrid environments: identity sync/integration, cloud resource administration, security controls.
  • Proven experience with disaster recovery / business continuity planning and execution.
  • Competent with cloud environment administration: familiarity with Azure services, cloud identity, cloud security controls.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code / automation for on-prem tasks (e.g. provisioning, configuration management).
  • Strong skills in monitoring, logging, observability, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with DR/BC tools, backup technologies, failover, redundancy
  • Deep understanding of network security principles, best practices, and tools.
  • Ability to work occasional nights and weekends as required

Responsibilities

  • Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of on-premise infrastructure: servers, storage, virtualization, networks, endpoints, backups, storage arrays and SAN/NAS systems.
  • Defines, maintains, and enforces infrastructure and security standards, blueprints, and policies for on-prem systems, including access control, patch management, disaster recovery, configuration management.
  • Administers cloud environments to support business continuity and hybrid operations: support cloud resource provisioning, identity integration, cost monitoring and security controls as needed.
  • Conducts risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, audits on both on-prem and cloud infrastructure; plan and drive remediation of security findings.
  • Ensures high availability, redundancy, performance, and scalability of systems.
  • Monitor SLAs, uptime, latency, throughput; ensure systems meet performance and reliability expectations.
  • Owns disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BC) planning and execution: define RPO / RTO objectives, test and validate DR plans, ensure backups are performed and recoverable.
  • Manages incident response for infrastructure and security incidents: detect, respond, resolve, conduct root cause analysis, improve systems to avoid repeated issues.
  • Maintains comprehensive documentation: architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, recovery procedures, policies/procedures. Ensure documentation remains up to date.
  • Monitors infrastructure cost and utilization; recommend and implement optimizations (hardware refresh, power/cooling, licensing, etc.).
  • Collaborates closely with AppDev and BI teams, risk, finance, vendors: align infrastructure/security decisions to business goals and risks.
  • Evaluates, selects and manages vendor tools, service providers, network gear, hardware platforms and security tools.
  • Provides support for escalated infrastructure issues submitted through the Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Designs and supports the IT infrastructure within the remote sales offices.
  • Creates and maintains the security awareness training and assessment program.
  • Manages and performs multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.
  • Performs other duties as needed or required.
