About The Position

At SanMar, the work you do makes a difference. What's the Short Version? The IT Operations Intern is responsible for assisting an Information Technology team during an 8 week program. What Will You Be Doing? Assist in designing, developing, and implementing enhancements or reports according to customer requests and team guidelines. Conduct a variety of administrative tasks for the assigned IT team or other IT teams as assigned. Job shadow various members of the department and assist them as needed. Prepare correspondence, reports, documents and/or other written materials as needed. Participate in data entry, troubleshooting, documentation, and inventory management activities. May perform or support special projects. Participate in intern cohort activities including: professional development workshops, warehouse tours, and meetings with leadership. Perform other duties as assigned. Comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Currently working towards a Bachelor's Degree or Masters Degree in an Information Technology discipline
  • Familiarity with administration and use of Freshservice or similar ticketing system
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting and using computers, software and operating systems
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and challenges.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship experience or personal projects demonstrating technology skills is a plus

Benefits

  • Pay: You`ll earn $25.00 on an hourly basis.
  • Paid Time Off: You`ll accrue paid time off on a weekly basis based on hours worked.
