Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or associate degree in Business, Information Science, or in Healthcare.
  • Experience working in an office setting required.
  • Must be self-motivated, organized, possess the ability to motivate others, work independently and possess office application computer skills.
  • Good communication skills, ability to train and lead staff.
  • Physical Requirements of the Job: Lift 30 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in E.H.R. (Electronic Health Record) systems, medical record practices and workflow is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the coordination and scheduling of E.H.R. Training:
  • Assist in the coordination with HR and PI departments for new staff training
  • Assist in the scheduling of training based upon professional discipline
  • Assist in the modifying of Avatar training profiles for those being trained
  • Prepare signature authorization forms for trained staff
  • Coordinate specialized training requests
  • Communicate schedule to HR, PI, and new staff members
  • E.H.R. Training:
  • Design and create online training for onboarding new employees.
  • Design and create online training related to workflow in administrative departments.
  • Modify content on introduction of new functionality, workflow change, or based on feedback from business analyst, support, and users.
  • Introduction to additional EHR Suite applications (Imaging, OrderConnect, Signature Pads, CareConnect Inbox, MyHealthPointe,, ChartMeds etc.)
  • Integrating other office applications into EHR
  • User and user role maintenance in EHR and associated application
  • Responsible for creating new users, terminating and maintaining users in EHR, and other associated applications like OrderConnect, CareConnect Inbox, MyHealthPointe,, ChartMeds, Waystar, Athena, RxConnect and others.
  • Keep up with automated processes with employee changes, including positions, credentials, and locations, to maintain users.
  • Document user roles and all the components assigned to the roles. Maintain these documents with changes and with the introduction of new user roles.
  • EHR Support and analysis
  • Attain EHR help desk calls and be the first line of contact for EHR and other applications.
  • Be a part of the first response to E.H.R. and other associated applications.
  • Record all calls or contacts in the help desk system and document responses and resolutions.
  • Coordinate and forward technical and application errors to programmers or MIS help desk for resolution.
  • Ensure the tickets are resolved and closed on time, and communicate any barriers to the supervisor.
  • Assist EHR analysts in implementing functionalities of EHR and other associated applications.
  • Assist EHR analysts in gathering and documenting user requirements that may originate from a help desk ticket.
  • Assist in testing new functionalities in EHR and other applications, and document and communicate the testing results to EHR analysts.
  • Other IT duties that may be assigned include the following:
  • Assist in manning IT help desk when necessary
  • Participate in IT team meetings and initiatives
  • Participate on committees deemed necessary to support standards and accreditations
  • Participate in or assist in providing orientation, application and other training for IT
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Administrative and other related duties as assigned
  • Actively participates in Performance Improvement activities
  • Actively participates in AltaPointe committees as requested
  • Completes assigned tasks in a timely manner
  • Assist in providing other training when necessary
  • Treats consumers and others with dignity and respect
  • Works in a cooperative manner with other AltaPointe employees
  • Follows AltaPointe policies and procedures
