About The Position

The Landscape Construction Foreman is responsible for leading landscape construction crews and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to design specifications. The Foreman works closely with project managers and team members to maintain high quality standards, manage daily jobsite operations, and ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget. This position requires leadership, strong technical knowledge of landscape construction practices, and the ability to coordinate crew members, equipment, and materials effectively.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Valid drivers license with approval from company fleet insurance provider
  • Experience operating landscape equipment including skid steers, dingos, trenchers, tampers, demo saws, tillers, trucks and trailers
  • Strong knowledge of planting, irrigation installation, pavers, grading, stonework, and blueprint reading
  • Minimum three years of landscape construction field experience or crew leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Landscape Installation and Project Execution Install landscape construction projects accurately according to plans and budget expectations
  • Review and follow blueprints, grading plans, irrigation plans, planting plans, construction drawings, proposals, and project budgets
  • Establish grades and elevations using laser levels or zip levels
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and designers during project execution
  • Provide professional communication and basic updates to clients when needed
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized jobsite
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities among crew members
  • Perform additional duties or special projects as assigned
  • Lead daily crew operations and task assignments
  • Provide feedback regarding crew performance
  • Assist in training new and existing team members on installation methods and quality standards
  • Ensure crew members attend scheduled training sessions
  • Lead crews in preparation and execution of daily work tasks
  • Attend weekly Foreman meetings
  • Ensure proper operation and maintenance of trucks, trailers, and landscape equipment
  • Submit daily driver logs and equipment checklists
  • Train crew members on proper equipment use and weight limitations
  • Monitor equipment maintenance including greasing, filter replacement, and cleaning
  • Check fluid levels prior to equipment operation
  • Assist in leading weekly safety training meetings
  • Ensure job sites are operating safely and proactively identify hazards
  • Report accidents or injuries to People Operations and submit required documentation
  • Maintain compliance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Communicate schedule changes, PTO, and absences with managers and assistant foremen
  • Report issues or project concerns to management proactively
  • Report unsafe or suspicious activities to management
  • Maintain accurate purchase history and submit receipts through the required system
  • Provide purchase information including job number and purchase order details
  • Maintain accurate timekeeping using Aspire mobile application
  • Report timecard issues to management
  • Manage project timelines to meet or improve upon budgeted hours
  • Maintain 24 hour on call availability during snow season
  • Operate snow removal equipment safely and efficiently
  • Perform snow plowing, shoveling, and ice melt application as assigned
