Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields or bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ progressive employment experience that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must possess valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card or able to obtain one prior to employment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a 5-year clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Ensure good communication with ORR Federal Field Specialist, External Stakeholders, Program Director and Program Manager
  • Coordinate case manager services by providing oversight, supervision, and training of staff case managers, monitoring case manager services documentation
  • Participate in and comply with all meetings, assignments, process improvement, and quality improvement initiatives as assigned by supervisor.
  • Available for on-call emergencies 24/7
  • Coordinate case management and family reunification services for children.
  • Initiate and maintain direct contact with each child and the child’s family while the child is in funder/oversight care in order to efficiently advance the child’s family reunification and release the child from the facility.
  • Facilitate the timely release or discharge of children to identified family members or authorized caregiver/custodian and document the provision of services in each child’s case file.
  • Conduct and document funder/oversight assessments in accordance with funder/oversight policies and procedures.
  • Report significant incidents in accordance with funder/oversight policies and procedures.
  • Maintain the client case file and funder/oversight database in accordance with funder/oversight policies and procedures.
  • May travel (including out of state) with unaccompanied minor to new placement.
  • Models Center’s expectation for sensitivity and competency relating to diversity and cultural awareness.
