About The Position

Overview of Position The Lead Implementation Manager is responsible for successfully onboarding large and complex client solutions onto the Connected Living Systems. The implementation manager gathers high level requirements and helps define the set of capabilities and features needed for a client implementation across the technology platforms, including managing the implementation budget. The role leads cross-functional teams in a collaborated effort to achieve a successful client implementation. Responsibilities include direct client engagement, coordinating implementation of business capabilities with corresponding technical Product Owners or Directors, Business Product Owners, infrastructure teams, other functional areas of the organization, as well as client contacts. The role provides mentorship and training to other Implementation Managers. What will be my responsibilities for this position? Projects 80%- Recognize opportunities for process improvement, propose recommendations, and/or take appropriate action as necessary. Mentor and train of other implementation management team members. Translate business objectives into a set of capabilities and features to be implemented: Analyze high level business requirements and determine what existing capabilities will fulfill the needs and which new capabilities need to be enhanced or developed for a client implementation. Surface up or escalate deviations from the norm or standard. Manage implementation estimates, secure necessary approvals, manage and report on actual costs and capitalization (if applicable). Maintain Implementation Management onboarding packages and standard implementation artifacts. Support RFP/RFI responses to client prospects Perform ad-hoc Gap Analysis and solutioning to solve for implementation challenges while maximizing use of existing portfolio of capabilities and features. Create and maintain a client focused IT delivery plan and manage all associated issues and risks. Implementation - Coordinate production implementation efforts with cross-functional teams. Coordinate with Solution Engineers, local IT and business stakeholders and clients for implementation of capabilities, including test coordination. Work closely with Technical Product Owners or with Technical Product Directors to manage the delivery and implementation timeline across all products needed for a client implementation. Ensure all client initiatives and IT services meet all legal, regulatory, privacy and information security requirements. Analysis/Solution Generation - Resolve complex, non-routine problems and issues where no precedent has been established or exists. Ad Hoc 20%- Provide analytical support to key stakeholders regarding metrics, reporting, and special projects Responsibility for the work of others Onboards new Implementation Managers Mentors Implementation Managers through risk management, escalation management and technical solution design, evaluation of existing capabilities and capability gaps. Financial Responsibility Administration and oversight of implementation budget, estimates, chargeback cost centers and tracking of actual costs to be charged to budget. Travel 5-10%

Requirements

  • 7+ years business analysts/ PM equivalent experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management Information Sciences, Computer Science or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Requires knowledge of a variety of applications including mainframe, databases, web-based systems, Microsoft suite and ETL tools.
  • Actively participate in knowledge exchange interdepartmentally and across teams.
  • Ensure effective communication to cross-functional teams.
  • A strong command of subject matter specific to regulatory changes is required to effectively communicate Global changes to functional areas.
  • Recognize opportunities for process improvement and make recommendations or take appropriate action within and outside International Systems Support department
  • Interact with all levels of management and with Assurant clients and prospects.
  • Establish clear expectations and communicate with stakeholders frequently on status.
  • Ensure that a thorough communication plan is integrated into the implementation process.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Insurance business is preferred.
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Certification in one of the following: Green Belt, Business Analyst, Project Management, Agile Product Owner, SCRUM, SAFE
