Leasing Specialist – Affordable Housing | Rochester, NY Salary: $18.00 – $19.00/hour | Part/Full-Time (40hrs/week) | Monday–Friday | Occasional Evenings or Weekends as Needed Locations: The Hamilton Apartments, Rochester, NY – 185 Mount Hope Avenue | Rochester, NY 14620 Connect People to Homes. Every day, you’ll help ensure our communities stay full, compliant, and cared for: Champion great first impressions – greet prospective residents, conduct tours, and highlight the features that make Conifer communities special. Drive occupancy – market available units, respond to inquiries, and manage leasing applications and renewals. Ensure compliance – process applications and recertifications accurately under LIHTC, HUD, or other affordable housing programs. Deliver exceptional service – assist residents with rent collection, service requests, and community communications. Support teamwork – collaborate with maintenance and office staff to maintain high standards for property appearance and safety. Stay organized – manage reports, filing, and data entry to keep operations running smoothly. The salary rage for this position is $18.00 - $19.00 per hour. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of apartment leasing experience preferred.
  • Experience with affordable housing programs (LIHTC, HUD-Section 8, HOME, RD) strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Fair Housing and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Yardi or similar property management software.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Basic math and data-entry abilities for rent collection and recordkeeping.
  • High school diploma or GED required; COS or TCS certification desired or willingness to obtain.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus.
