Ready to LOVE WHERE YOU WORK? Mountain West Bank is seeking an detail oriented Consumer Loan Servicing Clerk for our seasoned Loan Servicing team in beautiful Coeur d'Alene, ID. The Loan Servicing Clerk performs routine duties related to booking, assembling, scanning and verifying the accuracy of consumer and loan documentation; prepare loan documents, service and verify the servicing of booked loans. This position requires someone who is client focused and can maintain strict confidentiality in all loan matters. This individual my be thorough, and have technical capacity to preform the required tasks. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job. This position reports to the Consumer Loan Servicing Team Lead . This department is part of a team of experienced Commercial, Consumer and Loan Support Loan Servicing members. This is a full-time, hourly position. Candidates must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM for a total of 40 hours a week. Rate of pay depends on experience.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 or more years of experience in an office environment
  • Knowledge of banking policies and procedures.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle complex tasks efficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in within strict time-frames and meet deadlines
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Good knowledge of basic office equipment
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel

Nice To Haves

  • 1 or more years of experience in loan policies, procedures and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine loan maintenance duties such as:
  • Process payments
  • Setup and change AFT’s
  • CIF changes
  • HELOC checks
  • Waive late fees
  • Correcting/reversing loan payments
  • Provide knowledgeable and friendly customer service to branches and customers when contacted via telephone or email.
  • Process Consumer loan payoffs – completing payoff checklist.
  • Release collateral on all types of paid off loans.
  • Book all types of Consumer loans and change in terms within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Prepare Consumer loan documentation and change in terms within the department stated turnaround time of 24 hours of receipt of a completed loan request.
  • Work assigned pending and filing weekly – following up on all required items. Sign off and complete files.
  • File Review of Consumer loan files – put files together – notate all exceptions and send exception notices.
  • Participates in community service activities
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
