About The Position

Responsible for implementing policies, procedures and systems related to loan servicing functions. Ensures proper management of non-routine, higher-level loan servicing functions such as force-placed auto insurance, credit reporting disputes, fraud maintenance, and SCRA compliance. Monitors and reviews reports to ensure accurate functioning of the loan servicing system and reasonable quality assurance of performance of system maintenance. Provides support and back up for other functions in the department including auditing newly booked loans, performing system maintenance on loan accounts, maintaining departmental records and files, generating and mailing loan correspondence, and responding to internal and external customer inquiries and requests. Supports tasks related to vehicle loans including tracking and processing auto titles, processing auto title release, and tracking and uploading auto insurance to the insurance tracking vendor. Assists Manager with monitoring department’s operations and ensures that routine assignments are completed timely and in accordance with established credit union policies and procedures. Assists with projects, assignments and system testing. Provides support and back up for other functions in the department. Ensures adequate coverage and general training and supervision of staff.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of related experience in Loan Servicing or the equivalent.
  • Understanding of Consumer Loan Servicing job functions and department operations.
  • General knowledge of consumer loan origination, collection and loss mitigation process and regulations.
  • Ability to learn software applications and implement technical upgrades.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Well organized and attentive to detail.
  • Able to work well independently.
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to perform multiple functions and meet strict daily, weekly and monthly deadlines.
  • Able to operate business equipment such as computer, copy machine.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
