DFA Campus Risk Services is comprised of a combination of multiple resources aimed at the planning and development of real property, large project operations and enterprise risk management activities, including claim reviews. DFA Campus Risk Services is primarily engaged in large scale or high-risk actions and seeks to promote campus growth and development needs while mitigating risk to the organization. Your Role on the Team At the direction of the Risk Manager, the Loss Control Analyst is responsible for the investigation of claims with an eye towards process improvement, safety and prevention. Positive engagement with students, staff, and faculty. This position will analyze historical loss data to identify prevention and training opportunities. They will coordinate with EH&S and other campus departments to institute training and safety processes in order to lower incident rates and prevent future losses. The Loss Control Analyst will conduct post loss reviews of claims in order to communicate lessons from losses to departments and campus constituents. Serves as the Risk Management voice related to loss history and controls. Responsible for all areas of risk including administrating Campus BSAS (Be Smart About Safety) annual departmental awards.

Requirements

  • Understanding of risk management, loss prevention and safety principles.
  • Proven interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, active listening skills, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to concisely present complex risk findings and make recommendations verbally and in writing
  • Proven ability to use critical thinking and analytical skills to de-esculate and solve problems.
  • Strong skills required to develop course materials and deliver content effectively to diverse populations.
  • Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training
  • 1-3 YearsExperience in interpreting policies, procedures, and processes for ensuring compliance with risk management programs.

Nice To Haves

  • Prefer professional certification such as ARM, CSP or similar designation.
  • CANRA (Child Abuse & Neglect Reporting Act) Mandated Reporter.
