About The Position

SUMMARY: Primary focus is on supporting Andersen production operations. This position will be responsible for preparing & machining parts from various materials with CNC controlled mills and lathes. This will be a straight 3rd shift position with some flexibility in start stop times.

Requirements

• 2 - year technical degree in CNC Machining.
• 3D CAD modeling software understanding
• Proficient at print reading and tolerance interpretation.
• Mastercam software experience
• Strong understanding of metrology and how it applies to machining.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Strong computer skills in required applications, Outlook, Word, Microsoft Teams Etc
• Must be able to stand for 8 hours
• Must be able to occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Some heavy lifting required at low frequency.
• Equipment is provided to move/manipulate heavy components
• Requires repetitive action such as simple starting, grasping, firm grasping and fine manipulating.
• Handling hazardous waste wearing the appropriate PPE
• Working near/on hot equipment/materials

Responsibilities

• Fabricate machine parts and weldments leveraging Mastercam Software
• Cut and prep. Various materials for Machining
• Machine parts on manual mills and lathes as required
• Prioritize work to meet customer deadlines
• Participate in design reviews with Machine Designers and peers in the shop
• Strong focus on customer service
• Understand safety rules and procedures to safely perform all tasks
• Know and practice respectful workplace behavior
• Support a culture of best practice on 5S and overall shop safety
