About The Position

Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, the largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America, focused on the execution of our strategy to “Expand Beyond” our core business. As a part of Nucor’s New Markets product group, NTS is focused on the exciting growth potential in the power distribution market. We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to be actively engaged in supporting a new team that takes ownership over safety, electrical, and mechanical maintenance functions of the Towers and Structures facility. The Maintenance Technician will support a production line at a temporary location in Brigham City, UT, before moving to the permanent NTS site in Brigham City, UT. The Maintenance team supports plant operations while working closely with all other departments in planning future needs and/or improvements. This position must help drive continuous improvements in safety, process efficiency and plant automation. This position requires working overtime with little or no notice as well as rotating shifts, weekends and holidays, as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to demonstrate willingness/ability mentioned above in the Basic Job Function
  • 5 years experience in Industrial maintenance.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in mechanical and hydraulic processes.
  • Knowledge in the electrical field.
  • Experience with Allen Bradley ac drives.
  • Knowledge in programmable logics controls.
  • Experience with Microsoft office programs: Word and Excel
  • Willingness to expand and share technical knowledge
  • Experience with maintenance planning in D365
