Lead and manage a team of aerodynamic and thermal analysts supporting the Next Generation Interceptor (NGI) program, ensuring high-quality technical execution and program success. Provide leadership, mentorship, and career development for a team of approximately 10–15 engineers, fostering technical growth and strong team performance. Represent the organization in technical reviews, including internal program reviews and interactions with external customers and partners. Support aerodynamic and thermal analysis activities including test definition, requirements development, test monitoring, data reduction, and correlation of test results to analytical models. Integrate multidisciplinary engineering considerations—including thermal, structural dynamics, materials, and system-level requirements—into aerodynamic and thermal analyses to ensure robust system performance. This role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of spacecraft structural dynamics, collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to ensure mission success. Important Details This position is full-time onsite at our Huntsville, AL or Littleton, CO campus The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Requirements

  • 8 years of professional experience performing either CFD/Aerodynamics or Thermal Analysis of missile systems
  • Extensive experience with missile aerodynamic or thermal test methods such as wind tunnel, thermal vacuum, TPS erosion and static test fire
  • Experience leading a team including the ability to organize, motivate, and lead groups of engineering personnel
  • Extensive customer interface experience within a missile development program
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, thus US Citizenship is required

Nice To Haves

  • A Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering
  • Experience developing schedule and cost estimates
  • Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
