About The Position

The Master Scheduler develops, develops the Master Schedule, balancing production capacity, resources, and inventory for one or more Business Unit(s). You will act as a liaison between Production, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Development, and Program Management developing the Master Schedule and Capacity Planning.

Requirements

  • Sound knowledge of supply chain processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment processes.
  • Familiar with MRP and MES Systems
  • Advanced MS Excel (complete statistical analysis to uncover patterns and trend, create charts from table data in various formats, perform calculations and vertical lookups, and create pivot tables from data sets)
  • Organized and pay attention to the details; you are conscientious and meticulous in your work
  • Ability to work productively and cooperatively in a high-volume, fast paced, highly pressured environment
  • Knowledge of general accounting; production assembly procedures, techniques, and tooling; material and capacity planning and forecasting; and product bill of material procedures
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leaders
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills, including the ability to write technical reports and presentations
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn about new processes with very little information provided
  • Must possess skills to define Root Cause and implement effective Corrective Actions
  • Team focused with the ability to actively participate in and/or lead cross-function teams
  • Proficient in MS office applications

Responsibilities

  • Develops, publishes, and maintains the Master Production Schedule, balancing inventory, resources, and capacity planning
  • Coordinate and manage daily schedules for team members, ensuring optimal allocation of resources and adherence to deadlines
  • Create a rolling 3-month master production plan for designated products. Utilize the production capacity, taking into consideration the sales forecast, historical sales, product availability, and new business opportunity. Analyze and identify risks associated with the options built into the Master Production Plan, including manufacturing lead times
  • Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
  • Maintains master distribution schedule for the assigned facility; revises as needed and alerts appropriate staff of schedule changes or delays
  • Monitor actual output versus the Master Production Plan. Identify gaps and drive solutions
  • Coordinate with plant schedulers to execute Production Plan on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Participates in periodic forecasting meetings with sales, marketing, and other related departments; leads additional planning meetings with sales, production, shipping, purchasing, and customer service staff.
  • Support the SIOP process meetings to review and performance against schedule, inventory strategy, supply plan to meet demand, and resource implications. Update Master Production Plan as necessary
  • Timely reporting of key metrics
  • Participates in forecasting/planning meetings with Business Development, Finance, and other related departments
  • Develop strategies and work with the operations team on capacity and equipment utilization
  • Document key information for analysis which includes downtime, peak production, inventory, and scheduling accuracy
  • Monitor material flow, identify bottlenecks, troubleshoot issues to root cause and implement corrective actions
  • Performs other related duties, as required
