About The Position

Under appropriate supervision, the Material Handler/Backup Yard Jockey position
will perform trailer movements and material handler functions critical to the
operation. Duties include manual, clerical and data entry skills.

Requirements

• Possess a valid Driver’s License and ability to pass a DOT physical.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds on a continual basis.
• Ability to safety get in and out of spotter unit.
• Ability to crank trailer dollies for each spotter movement.
• Final candidates must possess a solid work history, pass pre-employment background and post offer drug screen/physical.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain spotter and material handling equipment as required to transfer material to destination.
• Interface with Site Manager/Operations Manager and personnel in a professional manner.
• Prepare and maintain all related information including the movement of trailer and trailer inventory on yard.
• Move trailers in and out of docks to ensure reasonable care of customer’s product.
• Responsible for adhering to all company Policy and Procedures in addition to State and Federal regulations.
