About The Position

Responsible for shipping and receiving of equipment to and from stores and vendors. Maintain adequate level of spare inventory for stores. Test defective equipment returned from stores. Coordinate repair of equipment with appropriate vendors. Will assist with computer imaging and other technical duties.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems (involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.)
  • Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by management
  • Must be regularly available and willing to work 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week, or such other hours per day or hours per week as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet business needs
  • Must be available and willing to work such overtime per day or per week as the employer determines is necessary or desirable to meet business needs
  • Must be available and willing to work such weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
  • This position requires occasional travel with overnight stays
  • Must meet driver’s license requirements as required by the Company
  • Must be able to legally obtain a rental vehicle in all states in which the company does business
  • Must have current auto liability insurance
  • The employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; and climb or balance.
  • The employee must frequently lift 10 –30 pounds, and occasionally be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include focusing close (clear vision at 20 inches or less) and distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more); color vision; depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Responsibilities

  • Ship equipment to stores on a daily basis according to Help Ticket requirements
  • Maintain adequate levels of spare equipment through repair and/or replacement for Headquarters and stores
  • Maintain adequate shipping and maintenance supplies
  • Test all equipment returned from stores
  • Identify patterns of faulty equipment
  • Maintain shipment returns from stores and vendors to a reasonable time frame
  • Calls the stores to confirm shipments received and sent back to Headquarters
  • Contact vendors for troubleshooting, warranty repairs and repairs.
  • Maintain current knowledge of shipment packaging methods
  • Identify and report chronic equipment issues
  • Organize storage and back-stock areas
  • Coordinate and communicate with Headquarters shipping department
  • Utilizes software and hardware to track and document equipment
  • Attends and completes technical and personal training provided
  • Maintains shipment log of all incoming and outgoing shipments
  • Contributes to a clean and safe work area
