We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven National Account Manager to support and grow our presence across Hardware Distribution, Regional Retail, and Convenience channels. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing key customer relationships, and executing strategic initiatives that deliver measurable business results. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, analytical, and brings a creative mindset to unlocking new growth opportunities. This position reports to the VP Sales. This is a hybrid role, and the candidate will need to be based in our Skokie, IL office and attend in person meetings on a regular basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of account management experience within Hardware Distribution
  • Proven track record of driving business development and achieving sales growth
  • Demonstrated ability to develop creative solutions that deliver measurable results
  • Continuous growth mindset always pursuing new business development opportunities
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
  • Exceptional attention to detail and executional excellence
  • Proactive, self-starter with strong ownership mindset
  • Creative thinker with a passion for driving business growth
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow key national and regional accounts within Hardware Distribution, Regional Retail, and Convenience channels
  • Responsible for overall financial performance for the segment
  • Develop and execute account-specific strategies to achieve sales targets and expand market share
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with customers, including experience working with Ace Hardware, Orgill and similar accounts
  • Create and implement innovative, customer-focused solutions to unlock new growth opportunities
  • Analyze sales data, market trends, and program performance to make informed business decisions and optimize results
  • Lead planning, forecasting, and execution of promotional programs and initiatives
  • Ensure flawless execution of customer programs, maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams (marketing, supply chain, finance, and operations) to ensure alignment and successful program delivery
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and business reviews using Excel and PowerPoint
  • Manage one direct report supporting growth efforts within the segment
