Operations Associate – CPA Firm (Bellevue, WA) Pay: $25–$30/hour DOE Schedule: Full-time, onsite Our Bellevue-based CPA firm is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Operations Associate to support our Operations Manager and team. This role handles a variety of administrative and operational tasks that keep the firm running smoothly, especially during peak tax season.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize, multitask, and meet deadlines
  • Flexible, hard-working, and able to thrive in a smaller firm environment
  • Confidence working directly with clients
  • Willingness to work overtime during peak tax season (January–April)
  • Professionalism and the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Minimum 2+ years of office administration or customer service experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Basic office equipment knowledge and strong typing skills

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CCH Axcess or similar tax software
  • Prior experience in a CPA firm
  • Familiarity with implementing new technologies or process improvements

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Operations Manager and team
  • Maintaining system data, including adding and editing client information
  • Delivering electronic and paper tax returns
  • Managing client signatures through our tax software and e-filing system
  • E-filing tax returns and tracking statuses, including follow-up as needed
  • Handling client communications, including year-end and group emails
  • Phone answering, scheduling, and general front-office support
  • Faxing, copying, scanning, and mailing documents as needed
  • Assisting with special projects and additional tasks as requested
