As a Accounting Part-Time Student for John Deere Des Moines Works located in Ankeny, IA, you will:

Requirements

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a degree in Accounting or Finance; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local university
  • Graduation date of May 2027 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
  • Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer months
  • Must be able to commute to the work location in Ankeny, Iowa, on a daily basis year-round
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent communicator who thrives on solving problems and working in a team environment
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply

Responsibilities

  • Apply academic principles while performing accounting tasks at John Deere Des Moines Works
  • Support overhead budget preparation by updating budget reports and other cost tracking files
  • Prepare miscellaneous analyses, create journal vouchers, and participate in fixed asset audits
  • Serve as an integral member of the accounting team
  • Schedule budget meetings
