Plans and schedules weekly vehicle movement from pier to storage facilities within an established timeframe, including Saturday when necessary. Meets with lot staff to assign work and provide instructions throughout the day. Processes vehicle shipments and deliveries, runs reports, and creates key tags and stock tags. Tags and inspects incoming shipments. Identifies and resolves problems (e.g. staging issues, damages, theft of auto parts, compliance with C-TPAT) with shippers and maintains strong rapport with vendors and 3rd party inspectors. Keeps abreast of all Federal and State regulations impacting Servco. Makes recommendations to shippers to prevent future problems. Makes recommendations for long range planning of vehicle storage, facility and equipment improvement, and staffing needs. Identifies security concerns and makes recommendations for security improvement. Develops and implements efficient processes for storage, vehicle movement, and staging of vehicles, and keeps records of long-term storage of aged vehicles in lots. Plans and coordinates vehicle movement within storage facilities. Implements and monitors quality control processes and applies Kaizen methods for improvement. Develops safety standards and procedures to prevent and minimize damage to vehicles, injury to staff, and to comply with OSHA, HAZMAT, and environmental and license regulations. Prepares and submits accident reports, dealer delivery, condition reports, and daily gas logs on a timely basis. Assists with installation of accessory packages, including the training and supervision of lot staff and other employees as needed. Maintains port vehicles in safe working conditions. Supports managers by understanding current IT system (Oracle) and assisting with managing teams when manager is not available
