About The Position

DevCo US Construction is hiring for a Full-Time Pre-Construction Project Manager for to join our construction team based in Bellevue, WA. The Pre-Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing Construction and Renovation projects for DevCo Preservation. The Pre-Construction Project Manager will work with multiple stakeholders to champion projects from conception, planning, design, budgeting, and permitting through start of construction while utilizing fundamental Construction Management best practices including construction terminology, law and statutes for each state, health and safety laws, and blueprint reading. Requirements

  • 4-year degree in a construction related field or commensurate field experience.
  • 5-7 years work experience in construction project management or pre-construction with proven ability to use multiple types of software to efficiently manage projects.
  • Must be able to speak, read and write English in a manner sufficient to carry out duties.
  • Successful completion of background check and drug screen required.
  • Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. meeting I-9 guidelines.

  • 1-5 years work experience in multi-family construction industry recommended.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, coordinate and monitor the planning, design, and construction or renovation projects using fundamental project management Best Practices.
  • Work with project team to develop and maintain project scope, schedule and budget using computer applications and approved process.
  • Review each assigned projects and develop Request for Proposals for various consultants through completed contract documents for each project.
  • Support the Development Manager and Director Of Pre-Construction by assisting with property condition assessments, interviewing and hiring of professional services for each assigned project.
  • Support and manage allocated project funds for each assigned project. Maintain good stewardship of these funds.
  • Coordinate with the Estimating Team for pricing requests.
  • Support assigned Development Manager for any new construction and renovation needs.
  • Document and report status of scope, schedule and budget changes throughout construction using established software (Smartsheet).
  • Develop and maintain a project schedule including development related tasks.
  • Develop and maintain a list of qualified Architects, Engineers and Various Consultants
  • Create and maintain a risk register (RAID log)
  • Occasional travel to project sites and perform on-site inspections and project related meetings as needed.
  • Complete assigned tasks by deadlines and communicate any obstacles with your supervisor in advance.
  • Attend training classes as scheduled and assigned.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
